Amazon Echo is a wonderful tool that can play your music, help you shop, and perform tasks with voice commands. It can now read your e-books to you. You can now ask Alexa to read Kindle books in your library using text-to-speech technology. Here is what Amazon has to say about it:

Alexa reads books purchased from the Kindle Store, borrowed from the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library or Kindle Unlimited, or shared with you using Family Library. Alexa reads your Kindle books with the same text-to-speech technology used for Wikipedia articles, news articles, and calendar events.

To get started, simply ask Alexa to read a kindle book by its title, pause, go forward / back, or resume. The commands are available here.
