Driverless cars are going to be popular in the future. Many companies are already working on perfecting them. DeNA and ZMP are working on driverless cabs that one can hail using a smartphone. The Robot Taxi is a driveless car that will be dispatched in response to smartphone requests. ZMP will develop the automated driving technology while DeNA handles the software part of things.
There will be many challenges getting this project off the ground. Such a service would probably face serious questions in this side of the world. Nevertheless, driverless cabs seem to be the future.
