Meet Brink’s Array digital deadbolt: a cloud- and app-enabled digital door lock that can be used without additional hubs. It lets you use your WiFi router to connect the deadbolt to the cloud. The device has a onboard photovoltaic panel to turn light from indoor and outdoor sources into energy to sustain the lock’s functions.
Users will be able to open their doors from their smartphone, the touchpad, or using a key. Array will be compatible with iOS and Android devices. The product will be available in late 2016.
