Here is a new project from Google that aims to provide developers and designers with a platform to teach kids tangible programming. Project Bloks has a modular design with pucks, boards, and everything needed for programming.
This tangible programming system is made up of electronic boards and programmable pucks. You can connect pucks to form instructions. Base boards read the puck’s instruction while the Brain board read instructions from Base boards and sends them to connected devices via WiFi and Bluetooth. The brain is based on a Raspberry Pi Zero.
